Samantha Alexandrea Sosa is a proud first generation Mexican- American. Born in McAllen, Texas and raised in Los Angeles County, California. Growing up, Samantha was involved in making sports teams and volunteering her time coaching youth soccer. After graduating from Warren High School, she attended Cerritos College where she earned Associates of the Arts degrees in both Psychology and Communication Studies. As the oldest of four children, she began working while attending college to help support herself and contribute to the family. Samantha pursued her Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Studies from Arizona State University while working full time at Macy’s Department store. By the time she graduated with her B.S. she co-owned two properties in Southern California with her now husband, Noe and had become an Asset Protection Manager at Macy’s.
During her time at Macy’s Samantha oversaw many construction projects, including opening the newly renovated Century City location. She also works closely with partners in LAPD to conduct sting operations in and out of Macy’s stores.
In 2017, Samantha married the love her life Noe Sosa. Shortly after in 2018, Samantha pursued her Juris Doctorate at Trinity International University. During law school she worked full time as a law clerk at The Law Office of Frank P. Barbaro and Associates. She was leader in an initiative to adapt the firm to serve more Spanish speaking clients.
In December of 2020 Samantha welcomed her daughter Zoe into the world. She took law school finals just two weeks after her birth. In May 2021, Samantha earned her Juris Doctor degree. She returned to Trinity Law School and earned her Master’s in Legal Studies degree in Nonprofit Law in May 2022. Samantha was admitted the California Bar in December of 2023.
